The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of town with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby and just a few minutes' walking distance from the vibrant union square. The rooms are spacious, with some minor quirks like a shallow safe, but overall well-equipped and comfortable. The service was impeccable, especially given the Halloween party distractions, and the staff were supportive and efficient. The dining options offer a wide variety of American and Asian staples, albeit a bit pricey if not complimentary. The facilities are top-notch, catering to various needs like car hire, laundry, and a CityScapes lounge.

At check-in, I was offered an upgrade to a room with a wonderful view of the city from a huge window in the living room. The room was really comfortable, but we had an issue with a broken air conditioner, which meant my cousin and her husband had to move to another room. The service was efficient during check-in and prompt with cleaning, yet the noise from the cleaning ladies was excessive. The location was perfect for exploring the San Francisco Bay Area, despite a bad first impression, being close to Union Square, Market Street, and the Moscone Center. The dining options at the 'Poached' restaurant had a good variety but were a bit pricey if not complimentary. Overall, the hotel had its share of ups and downs.
